This route explores the history of Grézac plateau. The “oppidum” or hill-fort, built on Grézac “puech” or small hill, is a reminder of man’s almost continuous presence on the site until the early middle-ages. The side streets, curtain walls, terraces and huts testify to major human occupation as from the 16th century. The return is via a Gallo-Roman track linking Perthus with Lodève, an influential old episcopal town.
